Sr. Systems Administrator

Location: Euless, TX

We have an EXCITING new job opening for a Sr. Systems Administrator to join our client's solid and growing IT team at their headquarters in Euless, TX. This role will report to the Director of Infrastructure and will be responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure of all the systems throughout the enterprise. This includes day to day administration, support, proactive software updates / patching, and software and hardware refreshes / maintenance. Supported systems include but are not limited to Physical and Virtual Servers along with their associated roles - located within the data center and remote locations, Storage, Backup, Cloud Servers (AWS/Azure), and DR configurations for each. This position is also responsible for providing L2 / L3 support to the IT organization and regional offices where applicable. In addition, the Sr. Systems Admin will be involved in project work supporting the internal organization along with assisting in the integration of current and future acquisitions. RESPONSIBILITIES

o Provide technical support and maintenance of IT systems.

o Troubleshoot and resolve problems with system configurations and hardware.

o Provide escalation support for the Service Desk and Desktop Support Teams.

o Performs server hardware and server software maintenance functions such as firmware upgrades, installing software service packs and configuring enhancements.

o Maintains system security including operating system security patches and virus defense.

o Performs system administration functions such as Active Directory maintenance, DNS changes, granting server permissions, server log management, email system administration, print queue management, web server support.

o Maintain standardization and documentation of technology and processes.

o Monitors performance, capacity and operational statistics for operating systems, applications and servers including e-mail systems, file and print systems, virus defense, web services and remote access.

o Upgrades server and infrastructure hardware based on hardware life cycle policy.

o Upgrades system and infrastructure software based on software life cycle policy.

o Configures and implements complex IT technology systems.

o Installs system software and hardware for operating systems, applications and servers including, but not limited to, e-mail systems, file and print systems, anti-virus, web services and remote access.

o May serve as the project lead on small technical projects based on the business plan.

o Design, testing, and implementation of new technologies from end to end.

o Occasional travel up to 10%.

REQUIREMENTS

o 7-10 years of experience as a Systems Administrator supporting organizations with 50+ plus sites and 1000+ users with impeccable record / references.

o Networking experience at a Sys Admin Level - required

o Superior customer service and communications skills - required

o Critical thinker - Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures - required

o Project Management - ability to manage small to medium time sensitive projects with ease - required

o Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, PowerShell, and Active Directory Federated Services (Single Sign On & Multifactor Authentication)

o VMWare (ESXi 6.0+ & vCenter 6.0+)

o Microsoft Certificate Authority and Distributed File System/Replication, File/Print services, Exchange, SharePoint Online, IIS, Office 365 / Skype, SCCM (Software/OS deployment & OS Patching), System Center Endpoint Protection, SCOM, System Center Orchestrator, & SCSM

o Remote Desktop Services (RDS Gateway / Broker / Web / License / Session Servers)

o Backup and Disaster Recovery (Best practices in data retention and recovery, Veeam experience, & DR to offsite or cloud DC using VMware / Veeam)

o Storage (NFS / iScsi & Netapp / Compellent)

o Ability to support systems without prior knowledge by thinking out of the box by using past experience and deductive reasoning to reach a solution

o Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, flexibility and agility a must - required

o Ability to work with little supervision and within changing priorities in a dynamic rapidly changing and growing environment - required

o Superior relationship skills with the ability to work with multiple personalities in varied regions of the country

o Two-year degree in Information Technology or commensurate experience - preferred

o Certification as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Cloud / Infrastructure 2016 or current 2012 equivalent - preferred

o Unix Experience - preferred
