Job Overview Looking for a top data expert to support the collection of gaming power and performance test data, and subsequent deep analysis. The role will oversee the organization of massive amounts of test data and dashboards development for multiple technology teams. Passion for PC & Mobile gaming helpful but not needed if you are a hardcore data nerd. Candidate will use predictive modeling, statistics, Machine Learning, data mining, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from raw data. Develop software, algorithms and applications to apply to data, perform large scale experimentation and build data driven apps to translate data into intelligence, solve a variety of engineering problems. Qualcomm's Advanced Content & Gaming Group is seeking an experienced Game Data Scientist/Systems engineer to work directly with internal engineering teams and Top Game Studios from around the world to drive new gaming initiatives, support new product development, deep level competitive analysis. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge pre-commercial PC & Mobile devices and contribute to the future of mobile gaming, PC gaming, Machine Learning, and VR/AR technologies. The Advanced Content & Gaming Group (ACG) is a fun, creative, and highly interactive team that supports all gaming and developer technologies related to our all our Snapdragon products. This is a key role for our in-house Game Studio and external developer activities, including developer tools, XR, and ISV outreach, along with many new emerging technologies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Statistical Process Control -and understanding of process capability and full/fractional factorial designs Analytical Programming / Scripting languages such as Python, R, JSL Relational databases (SQL) and no-SQL databases Expertise in relational database structures, research methods, machine learning Expertise in Cloud based technologies, Big Data technologies (i.e. Hadoop, HBase, Lucene/Solr) Expertise in analytics packages (i.e. R, Mahout, Matlab, Octave, Weka), scripting languages (i.e. Python, Perl), programing languages (i.e. Java, C/C++, SQL). Typically possesses advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Operation Research, and Statistics or equivalent expertise. Traditional statistical techniques including probability and statistical models such as principal components, clustering, mixed models and linear models Modern ML techniques such as support vector machines, categorical and regression trees, neural networks and recommendation systems.
