Job Description

Role Summary:As a Sr Staff Agile Transformer, your primary objectives are to horizontally influence the CIO organization to adopt Agile methodologies, and to deliver world class web & content management platforms that increase velocity of marketing qualified leads. You will be responsible for helping set Agile standards across the CIO organization, coaching teams on how to be Agile, and using Agile to deliver outcomes for web and content management platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:

Agile Transformation:

Shift the CIO organization from monthly/quarterly batches to bi-weekly releases, and eventually to nightly releases

Coach teams on the effect execution of Extreme Programming practices including Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, Continuous Deployment/Delivery

Drive full-scale adoption of JIRA (from the CIO to each developer … team sport)

Effectively coach organizations on effective Agile practices at scale including Agile Portfolio Management and multi-team programs (i.e. SAFe).

Develop key operating mechanisms for IT delivery (scrum of scrums, IT QMI, unified Change Management)

Partner with the Principal Business Operations Engineer & Principle Lifecycle Operations Engineer to drive DevOps automation & ITIL change management

Web & Content Management:

Analyze, design, develop, debug, test, implement and modify software enhancements and new applications used in local, networked, or Internet-related applications

Develop custom web applications, Drupal theme and modules

Integrate data or user accounts between multiple systems for a client

Integrate multiple databases and database types into one system

Manage a hosting environment, and administer databases

Scale an application and its hosting environment to support increases in traffic

Set up and use a version control system, and manage control with file-based assets and data

Implement and work with content approval and staging workflows

Implement, manage and use a backup system and disaster recovery

Output data in multiple document formats

Work with multiple delivery platforms such as mobile and desktop

Create and implement database schemas that represent and support business processes

Ensure the quality of applications through unit testing

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

A minimum 8 years of professional experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

Desired Characteristics:

CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), Agile Certified Pracitioner (PMI-ACP), PMP (Project Management Professional), or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification

6 years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and jQuery

6 years of experience with XML, REST protocol and HTTP Request

6 years of experience in developing web applications using PHP and MySQL

6 years of experience with Drupal module and theme development

6 years of experience in Designing, Architecting and Building web applications

6 years of experience in System Integration Design, Architecture and Development

Technical Expertise:

Facilitates and coaches software engineering team sessions on requirements estimation and alternative approaches to team sizing and estimation. Leads a community of practice around estimation to share best practices among teams

Drives accountability and adoption. Publishes guidance and documentation to promote adoption of design. Proposes design solutions based on research and synthesis; creates general design principles that capture the vision and critical concerns for a program.

Demonstrates mastery of the intricacies of interactions and dynamics in Agile teams.

Demonstrates advanced understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles (e.g., Black belt certified).

Guides new teams to adopt Agile, troubleshoots adoption efforts, and guide continuous improvement. Provides training on Lean / Agile. Drives elimination of inefficiencies in coding process. Teaches XP practices to others.

Actively embraces new methods and practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Business Acumen:

Evaluates technology to drive features and roadmaps. Maps technology trends to internal vision. Differentiates buzzwords from value proposition. Embraces technology trends that drive excellence beyond traditional practices (e.g., Test automation in lieu of traditional QA practices).

Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders. Recommends a well-researched recommendation of buy vs. build solution.

Conveys the value proposition for the company by assessing financial risks and gains of decisions and return on investment (ROI).

Manages the process of building and maintaining a successful alliance. Understands and successfully applies common analytical techniques, including ROI, SWOT, and Gap analyses.

Able to clearly articulate the business drivers relevant to a given initiative.
