JOB: The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Specialist, Business Technology Liaison in New York, NY to design and implement business processes in a specific business domain within a line of business, liaising with business, client, and technology business partners. Serve in a cross-program role to ensure quality of the deliverables. Drive innovation and strategic solutions within global, mission-critical, large-scale programs. Utilize business domain knowledge in the sophisticated, global capital markets industry, including securities processing, custody, alternative investments, hedge funds/derivatives, clearance, accounting, cash processing, reporting, and/or brokerage areas. Perform business analysis and testing functions for projects. Participate in requirements development activities. Deploy business analysis techniques including requirements development, prioritization and management, use case modeling, and process modeling. Utilize operation flows across multiple system applications, expertise and experience with Software Development Life Cycle processes and methodologies, project management, and application architecture. Deploy case modeling, business process modeling, and traceability using tools. Conduct formal workshop facilitation. Utilize business and client requirements to drive solution optimization, revenue generation, speeding time-to-market and phasing of these multi-year complex initiatives. Act as a liaison between business accounting, clients, users and business systems and technology partners. Monitor the delivery and risk mitigation for clients and the business.
SALARY AND WORK SCHEDULE: $161,262 per year and 40 hours/week
WORK LOCATION: 240 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10286
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Financial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: developing high performance web-based applications; performing requirement gathering, analysis, process standardization, and module design; developing technical requirements; liaising with business users and clients to convert business requirements into system use cases; designing, developing, testing and implementing web based applications for loading and extracting data from Advent Geneva Portfolio Accounting System; implementing, upgrading, and maintaining Advent Geneva Portfolio Accounting System, including real-time synchronization of data to disaster recovery sites; and utilizing project management tools including Confluence and JIRA. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of the above fields of study and twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience in the above skills.
