POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a senior solutions architect to provide leadership across an Enterprise IT Solutions setting, develops Xator services capabilities and service offerings associated with that organization and leads the development and implementation of solutions in response to federal government requests for information (RFI) or proposal (RFP/RFQ). The senior solutions architect will maintain and continuously improve Xator capabilities, service offers, and solutions. The senior solutions architect will also develop and maintain the competency model for Xator staff aligned to the organization, develop recommended training plans, and provide mentoring for senior engineers aligned to the organization. The senior solutions architect, as the technical lead for multiple tasks, will be responsible for working with task program managers to ensure that technical solutions are implemented to technical requirements and optimized, within budget, to maximize client satisfaction. The senior solutions architect will seek out opportunities to represent Xator as a speaker at key industry events. The senior solutions architect will build trusted advisor relationships with key senior client and trusted partner relationships with industry partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

* Develop and maintain Xator services capabilities and service offerings
* Provide technical leadership across Enterprise IT and O&M Offerings
* Develop and maintain Xator services competency model for SBU
* Lead technical development (writing) of solutions in response to US Government RFIs and/or RFQs to include proposal writing and leadership of technical components of proposals
* Lead technical delivery of Xator solutions on contracts ensuring technical delivery is performed as planned and technical challenges are addressed appropriately
* Establishes trusted advisor relationships with key clients in order to expand footprint by growing existing tasks or positioning Xator for new business opportunities
* Participate and/or lead in client meetings and briefings as technical subject matter expert
* Foster strong relationships with industry partners
* Represent Xator as speaker at key industry events

Education:

* BS/BA degree from accredited university

Experience:

* 12+ years of IT experience
* 5+ years of experience developing and maturing trusted advisor relationships with senior government leaders (GS15 and higher)
* Experience supporting Veterans Affairs (VA) or Health & Human Services (HHS) is desirable
* 5+ years of developing technical solutions in support of US Government IT proposals with total value greater than $5M
* Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of company and customer management.
* Demonstrated experience with hardware optimization, tuning, virtualization, networking, estimation, and/or performance calculation
* Understanding of program management fundamentals.
* Exceptional ability to conceptualize complex problems, turn them into actionable solutions and win themes and to create a meaningful, winning proposal content around them.
* Experience in designing/architecting large scale solutions to include oversight of delivery/deployment
* Industry recognized technical certifications
* Understanding of program management fundamentals
