The Junior Software QA role performs all the responsibilities of Software QA perform applications and web testing include manual testing of all software products, attention to detail, analytical capabilities, ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of Boston Heart Diagnostics software products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work cooperatively as part of the software QA team, write documentation, perform QA daily tasks, design and develop test plans based on provided software requirements and assigned tasks * Work across teams to analyze software requirements for testability and meeting customer's expectations of quality * Work with development and business teams in all stages of software development lifecycle * Write detailed test plans and test cases * Help facilitate user acceptance testing * Develop and maintain documentation of tools and processes * Develop, document and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality * Must be able to consistently meet excellent quality requirements and follow all required components as outlined in departmental SOP's and protocols * Assist application development manager with employee competency evaluations, workload distribution and staffing challenges * Ensure proper requirement documentations, and comply with internal procedures and SOPs * Other projects or assignments as directed by the application development manager including design review, QA code review and QA documentations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
* 1-2 years' experience with software testing and delivery in Microsoft environments involving functional, integration, performance and user acceptance testing * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field * Sound understanding of QA processes and methodologies * Strong technical and analytical skills, quick learner and ability to multi-task * Ability to work fast and produce quality work in deadline-driven situations * Diagnostic skills to review customer found issues from the field * Excellent teamwork, good communication skills, enthusiasm and positive attitude * Critical thinking and commitment to quality * Strong experience in running SQL queries relational database knowledge * Understand the project requirements and prepare the Test Plan / Test Strategy and support in delivering projects objectives * Proven ability to create detailed test plans tied to business and technical requirements * Proven ability to drill down to investigate failures and diagnose causes * Develop written technical test plans; create and run specific test scenarios
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
* Preferred experience in healthcare technologies (e.g., HL7, clinical data) * Preferred experience in laboratory management system (LIS) * Preferred previous lab experience Knowledge * Previous experience working in agile environment
