Job Description:

The Chief Technology Office (CTO) for JPMorgan Chase oversees a variety of strategic and operational firmwide initiatives. Our goal is to accelerate the delivery and adoption of the Global Technology Vision - and enable all Global Technology teams to deliver technology faster and better for customers and clients - through the design, definition, implementation and adoption of enabling components inclusive of top quality engineering and architecture tools and practices.

The CTO Office drives firmwide efforts in such critical areas as Cloud Enablement & Adoption, Technology Portfolio Management and Rationalization, Platform and API Strategy, Development Tooling and Practices, Big Data and Machine Learning services, Data Architecture, Reference Architecture, Technology Data Management, and Workforce Transformation.

The Software Engineer will be part of a team supporting a number of firm wide technology transformation initiatives for Unstructured data to meet the Record Management requirements. The successful candidate will assist solutions team build, update and document products to meet the Records requirements.

* The Records Management team is currently seeking an application developer to join and drive a team responsible for the design and delivery of strategic solutions to support Records Management solution across different LOBs/CFs.
* The successful candidate will have a strong development background, with a proven track record in designing and delivering software solutions and be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of architecture principles and software development best practices
* Knowledge of Records Management concepts, tools, controls and procedures across the firm with ability to develop solutions across different LOBs/CFs to migrate and comply with firm wide RM policies.
* An understanding of code quality, code security and application quality KPIs; in order to provide project metrics and data to enable development teams to make intelligent decisions throughout the delivery lifecycle.
* The ability to facilitate development and architecture discussion, through a detailed understanding of current application development tools and techniques.
* Experience in developing applications for SharePoint, FileNet or any other content management tools.
* Experience in writing PL SQL scripts for Oracle, SQL Server or any other Database.
* A strong focus on engineering excellence and compliance with all corporate, regulatory, IT risk and architecture policies
* Experienced working in an Agile project environment, with the ability to work with the Product Owner and SCRUM Team on all aspects of the project; from development of the product vision and business case, through to delivery of product increments.
* Results orientated: Drives results through people, communication, influence and interaction

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

* 4-8 years of extensive knowledge of Java/C# or other programming languages
* Experience of building a new system or module from scratch.
* Knowledge of web service technologies such as REST and JSON.
* Knowledge of application security areas: authorization, authentication, encryption
* Multi-threaded application development experience.
* Automated testing techniques - especially BDD.
* Experience working with Sonar, SSAP, JIRA, GIT, Maven etc.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Strong team working skills and the ability to work on multiple parallel work items with other developers, analysts etc.
* Knowledge of Project & Program Reporting principles.
