Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:Design and build the next generation of applications used to meet the needs of Labor & Delivery care providers within a hospital setting. Responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure. Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision. Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards. Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse. Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities. Coach, mentor and lead the team. Drive quality in the development and support of products. Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge. Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques. Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project, utilizing techniques like pair programming, to ensure the highest quality code. Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation and support continuous-integration process. Understand performance parameters and assess application performance. Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen. Share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.

Qualifications/Requirements:The primary requirements are a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors [Science, Technology, Engineering(any) and Math] and five (5) years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor's degree experience in a related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors [Science, Technology, Engineering(any) and Math] and three (3) years of experience in a related occupation is acceptable. The position also requires 3 years of software development experience using the following: C#/.NET, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Javascript; 2 years experience with Agile software development practices: Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavioral Driven Design (BDD); 2 years experience with Object oriented analysis and design and software reuse / design patterns (Model-View-Controller (MVC)); 1 year experience in Desktop application development using WinForms, Windows Presentation Framework (WPF); 1 year experience in RESTful web service development, Windows Communication Framework (WCF); and 1 year of experience in database design, technologies, and tools: SQL/No-SQL technologies like SQL Server, ElasticSearch, CouchDB and performance profiling / tuning tools.
