The Adobe Fonts team is changing the way people find, get, and use fonts.
As an individual contributor, you will join a team responsible for architecture, design and implementation of Adobe Fonts Text Libraries & Font Tools.
The successful candidate for this position will investigate new and existing algorithms needed to support required functionality, provide the architecture and the interfaces that the design will employ to support the specified feature set and a plan of implementation.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's Degree preferred) * Knowledge of Unicode, Font Technologies: both CFF/CFF2 & TrueType instruction set + hinting, Font Subsetting, Font Tools and Text Rasterization is highly desirable. * Familiarity with OpenType Standard. * Experience with Font Production, Font Processing & Font Quality Assurance. * Experience with Web Service development is desirable. * Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as is experience working in a product development team environment.
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of AFDKO * Ability to adapt to multiple programming languages (Ruby, Python, C/C++, etc)
