AmazonSmile is looking for an experienced Sr. Software Development Engineer to guide the engineering future of our program and play a pivotal role in developing engineering talent on the team.

The long term goal of the AmazonSmile program is to create an experience that delivers on all the donation needs of charitable organizations and consumers. We want to make it easier for our customers to support their favorite charitable organization every time they shop, and we want to provide a premier experience for charities engaged with AmazonSmile.

As a Sr Software Development Engineer, you'll be working with all parts of our team and have opportunities to contribute to the core infrastructure that powers the retail website, our charity registration portal (OrgCentral), and our donation processing system. You'll have opportunities to process big data and design and implement services at high scale, all while supporting almost a million non profits across multiple countries.

Opportunities will include:

* Solving challenging architectural problems like 'How do we accurately identify every Smile order?' or 'How do we architect Smile features for the Retail Website in a manner that insulates them from all other RW changes?'
* Making significant contributions to the team roadmap and future planning
* Working with a wide array of technologies (High scale distributed services, Native AWS, mobile, ML)
* Having a meaningful impact on the development of junior engineers
* Being part of a team that has generated nearly $100 million in charitable donations
