Amazon Business Payments team is responsible for developing applications used to introduce new and innovative payment methods to business customers. We are an Agile team, moving quickly to bring new features to Amazon Business customers while having fun and bring new inventions along the way. The senior engineer for Amazon Business Payments will lead efforts to solve challenging technical problems across Business Payments teams. The senior engineer will help develop long-term technical strategies for Amazon Business Payments and will drive innovation while setting engineering standards for the team.

* Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
* Experience in building highly distributed systems
* Deep hands-on technical expertise
* Strong business and technical vision
* Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
* Experience in communicating with business and technical teams, describe software features, and technical designs.
* Exceptional relationship skills including the ability to discover the true technical requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
* Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch of the project
