But it's still day 1 and you can be a part of the team that is helping Alexa grow. We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Development Engineers who have experience building innovative, mission critical, scalable applications that customers love. As a member of the Alexa Excellence team, You will work across all other Alexa teams to drive innovative solutions around infrastructure scaling and utilization. You will also be responsible for leading the design, implementation and launch of Alexa Excellence operations tools focused on improving developer productivity.

As a Sr. SDE in the team, you will have significant influence on our overall strategy. You will collaborate with Alexa teams to identify, understand and resolve challenges around resource utilization. You will drive innovative solutions to improve infrastructure usage organization-wide. You will spearhead system architecture, operational excellence, and development best practices and you will lead the architecture, design, development and launch of Alexa Excellence operations tools.

The ideal candidate is clearly passionate about new opportunities and has a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products. A commitment to team work, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast.
