Position Summary:

As a Sr User Experience Designer and Front End Fiori Developer at Illumina, you will be a part of a team whose vision is to transform human health. We really mean it. This company has a mission that matters.

As part of the Global Information Services team, you will be designing and developing user experiences and interactions that delight our internal customers and make their jobs easier.

We will turn to you to improve experiences that engage users, generate user engagement, and enable self-service. You will collaborate with our internal partners through end-to-end projects, which includes discovery, design, wireframing, coding, testing, troubleshooting, presentation, and delivery. You will own the success of delivering against project goals. To be successful, you are creative, collaborative, process-friendly, and have the ability to work within timelines on multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work across multiple teams within the GIS organization including: Development leads, Business Analysts, Architecture, Infrastructure, BASIS, Project Managers and Senior Management.

All About You

Responsibilities:

* Support the existing SAP Fiori applications and Develop state of the art, enterprise-class mobile solutions in SAP Fiori UX, Mobile app development platforms that meet the business requirements and are supportable
* Possess the ability to work on multiple tasks and development items and clearly communicate status and potential issues.
* Continuously improve own skill sets including but not limited to technology, business knowledge, project management, communication and team mentoring
* Develop and mentor team members and encourage them to learn new technologies and improve their skill sets
* Be an innovator for the team by keeping abreast of SAP technologies and development practices
* Manage a task or development item through the SDLC - Agile, Waterfall etc methodologies
* Communicate project status to upper management and provide insight on any current and upcoming issues
* Escalate issues to key management and stakeholders and work with the team(s) to reach to solutions
* Develop, test and debug compatibility across Fiori and devices
* Develop and design wireframes, interactive prototypes, design mockups, and specifications
* Define and communicate user scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders
* Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to ensure development is on track and also to resolve issues and provide root cause analysis for defects
* Collaborate with software and system developers across the organization to evolve and adhere to established corporate design patterns
* Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

* 5+ years of cumulative experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role
* API Management experience a plus
* Extensive experience in SAP cloud platform, WebIDE development, SAPUI5, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Portal services, OData services, Portal Services, configuration & customize Fiori apps and Launchpad, FIORI app extensions
* Experience developing native iOS apps using SAP FIORI for iOS
* Experience with full life-cycle SAP implementations especially SAP - EAM/PM projects
* SAP HANA Knowledge/Development experience a plus
* Experience in SAP ECC in the following modules: EAM, PP, MM, SD, PPM, PLM, Quality, WM, FI etc
* Excellent Verbal and written communication skills required
* Experience in ABAP Programming a plus
* Extensive online portfolio of demonstrated work including responsive design and mobile applications (IOS required, Android a plus)
* Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology
* Professional maturity and presentation skills
* Proven ability to collaborate with teams to drive business results
* Ability to create wireframes and interactive prototypes as well as visual design comps that demonstrate clean, user-focused modern web design
* Strong understanding of Information Architecture principles across multiple form factors
* Adept at integrating industry analysis and on-domain analytics into design rationale and success validation criteria

Education:

* Bachelor's in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Computer Science , User Experience Design or related degree.
