The Opportunity
As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Sr. SAP Finance Analyst. This role will work with finance and business functions to collaborate with IT in providing system, process, and project management support to the finance organization. This role will work closely with the business and IT in the analysis of business requirements, project execution, and sustainment across the project life cycle. This role supports the assessment and prioritization of service requests, project execution and continuous improvements across the global finance organization
This position is located in Raritan, NJ or Rochester, NY.
The Responsibilities
Project Support:
* Act as a liaison between Finance and IT on projects
* Troubleshoot process issues, assess SAP enhancement opportunities, and align with key stakeholders
* Work with IT and finance users to document, test, and implement system changes
* Analyze test results, manage defects and resolve issues
* Develop user documentation and provide end-user training.
Sustainment Support:
* Collaborate with global business users to identify, analyze, and prioritize requirements
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement requirements and resolve issues
* Monitor and report on the progress of service requests
Process Improvements:
* Update/improve Finance work instructions and training materials
The Individual
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, Enterprise Systems or related fields
* 5+ years of experience in SAP finance project implementations
* One full life cycle of an SAP finance implementation with logistics integration
* In-depth knowledge and experience in the following areas: SAP General Ledger Accounting, AR/AP, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting and Profit Center Accounting
* Experience in other areas highly desirable: SAP Product Costing, COPA, P2P integration or customer service
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of finance business processes is highly desirable
* Experience in working in a global and dynamic corporate environment
* Strong analytical and presentation skills
* Low (10-15%); possible international travel
