About the Opportunity

The DMI Digital Commerce group provides solutions for well-known brands by leveraging leading commerce platforms as the basis of our solutions. DMI is seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Sr. Salesforce Commerce Engineer to join their growing team! In this role, you will be working side-by-side with some of the most experienced ecommerce business and technical experts in the Industry. You'll apply your knowledge to develop ecommerce applications and fine-tune your consulting skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Analyze user requirements to design and develop features.
* Create thorough and clear technical documentation.
* Estimate implementation tasks.
* Interpret and follow technical designs for implementations.
* Produce efficient and high-quality code.
* Take initiative on solving difficult problems.
* Proactively coordinate with technical leads and solution architects on design questions and technical blockers.
* Provide production support to clients to ensure site up-time and steady performance.
* Perform custom program development and implementation, system analysis, design, testing, and coding.
* Occasionally travel to client locations.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
* 3+ years of demonstrated development experience on Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations.
* Salesforce certifications preferred: Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II.
* Experience working as a developer member of an Agile or Scrum team.
* Design and develop customer solutions in VisualForce, Apex, Lightning, and other Salesforce technologies.
* Deep expertise and hands-on experience with web application programming leveraging HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API's, and associated libraries and frameworks.
* Experience leveraging web services to integrate Salesforce with external apps (REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON).
* Develop software solutions using Salesforce.com API framework, and 3rd part APIs.
* Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
* Excellent understanding of the MVC (Model View Controller) design pattern
* Utilization of relational databases including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and/or other RDBMS
* Familiarity in Salesforce Sharing Visibility and Access
* Experience with Version Control Systems (especially Git-based) preferred
* Familiarity with Jira and/or other Agile Lifecycle Management tools preferred
* Familiarity with Salesforce DX a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially as relates to conveying technical concepts.
* Outstanding problem solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
* Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
* Work individually and with team members to achieve customer satisfaction and success.
