Job Description

The Senior QA Engineeer leads a project team and/or multiple projects. Job Resposibilities: Develop test scripts and test data. Perform various kinds of Black Box testing. Execute tests and document detailed results. Provide detailed analysis for problem resolution. Accepts responsibility for decision made and the outcome. Maintains a positive attitude in difficult situations. Fosters a team atmosphere. Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message; present ideas effectively (including nonverbal communication and use of visual aids to individuals or groups when given time to prepare; deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Consistently strives to improve the way tasks and activities are accomplished meeting quality objectives. Works to achieve the highest levels of personal and organizational performance in order to meet or exceed business goals. Partners with fellow associates/supervisors/departments; contributes and exchanges knowledge and skills to meet group needs and goals; participates in resolving issues. Work with developers & technical support to assist in their resolution Ensure QA Entrance and Exit Criteria are met Consistently strives to enhance technical knowledge Consistently demonstrated a proficiently in using use all Microsoft productivity tools (ex: WORD, MS Project, and Excel Accountability - Directly responsible for timely Testing and Certification of projects Contact - Limited external contact. Internal contact primarily with other IT associates

Education: BA in information technology or equivalent combination of aducation and experience. Experience: 2 - 5 years in software dev enviroments Experience with SDLC Processes and User Acceptance Testing Working with Quality Assurance test enviroments Working with multiple applications Worked on 2 technical platforms CSTE Cert/equivalent preferred Ability to interact with other IT depts & understand the impact to QA for various topics such as: Programs, Databases, Networks, Platforms & Operating Systems. Skills & Abilitites: Lead a project team on 1 project and/or lead multiple projects. Function in all roles in peer reviews Lead in the planning and scheduling of testing Lead team building. Use MS Project and manage baseline and actual dates Master and contribute to the evolution of the V&V Process Participate on V&V teams. Participate in process improvement Assess risk of testing. Escalation point for problem resolution.
