What we need:

The Cetera Strategy and Corporate Development team is looking for an experienced integration senior project manager to help successfully manage the integration of Cetera's acquired companies. Integration Manager will help assure that we bring into Cetera all of the promised value of the acquired entity. Reporting to the Diligence and Integration Leader and working with the Business Sponsor, Transitions team, Deputy General Counsel, and a team of dedicated functional experts in Finance, HR, Operations, IT, Risk/Compliance/Legal, and more, you will create and execute the plans to bring each newly-acquired entity into Cetera. This role is critical to the success of Cetera, and an excellent way to connect and manage through influence on a successful outcome.

Successful candidates are skilled project managers with broad functional knowledge who are able to see the big picture while juggling a myriad of details. This is a fun, high-energy job at the forefront of Cetera's growth.

Job Responsibilities:

* Participate in the Due Diligence process to learn about the acquisition target.
* Working with the Business Sponsor and the Corporate Development Transaction Manager, develop the integration strategy and create plans that support delivering all the promised value of the deal.
* Form and lead the cross-functional team to create a detailed integration project plan.
* Through a regular cadence of 1-on-1 meetings and team teleconferences, manage the project to keep the milestones on track and, using sound judgment and excellent teamwork skills, address any issues.
* Regularly report progress, escalating issues if necessary, to Cetera's Strategic Corporate Development management and Cetera Firm Execs (Responsible for managing timelines, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, and identifying resource constraints, and reporting progress for each project)
* Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business M&A goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
* Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
* Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
* Partner and participate in a variety of process and program development areas as the Corporate Development function continues to build out the tools and frameworks.
* At the project's conclusion, lead retrospective analysis to improve our M&A playbooks for the next deal.

* Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
* A high degree of business acumen around mergers and acquisition activities
* Demonstrated excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skills
* Ability to formulate the big picture while working on project details
* Proven success at influencing and leading resources across multiple functions, workgroups, and management levels (demonstrates ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment. Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.)
* Established credibility with upper management
* A tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility to changing projects and priorities
* Strong written skills
* Good judgement (in particular regarding who to involve in what projects)
* Financial services industry knowledge is highly value but not required

We are looking for someone who:

* Has at least 7 years' applicable experience, including managing various projects of increasing responsibility, a Bachelor's or Master's degree or relevant work experience
* PMI or PMP certification or equivalent preferred
* Advanced MS Office skills: Project, Vision, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint
* Familiarity with M&T tools e.g. Midaxo or IBM M&A Accelerator is a plus
* Has the ability to work multi-task, manage tight deadlines
