Job Description

The Sr. Project Manager and Solution Architect focuses on delivering solutions based on the inputs from Business/Information/Software/Infrastructure Architecture and must have a wide exposure across industries and disciplines. The solution architect engages with all aspects and activities of the initiative, from concept, definition, analysis, design and implementation through the PMO as IT projects, ending with the transfer to IT operations. This person will also be responsible for leading large and complex projects (often technology related) in a cross-functional environment. This position is responsible for the overall health of the projects they own, ensuring that requirements are documented and ultimately delivered, that project deliverables are created, reviewed and completed on time, and that the project is managed with strong adherence to on-time and on-budget guidelines.

Responsibilities and Required Skills:

* Ability to work cross functional environment with enterprise and software architects, business analysts, and project teams.

* Guide the creation of scope and detailed requirements for projects, including facilitating requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders, ensuring requirements are documented, and managing the requirements through the life of the project
* Communicate and follow-up regularly with project team members to ensure tasks are completed as planned
* Develop project plans for schedule, resources, and budget through collaboration with team/resource managers and executive stakeholders
* Monitor and track project progress and performance against project plans, reporting status to project stakeholders through structured communication (written status reports, steering committee meeting/documents, etc.) as well as informal approaches (ad-hoc requests and email)
* Communicate effectively with project team members, project stakeholders and the company management team with respect to status, issues, risks, and project goals and objectives
* Actively participate in driving continuous improvement of the organization's project management processes and standards
* Other duties as assigned
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
* Technical background with at least ten years of work experience in one or more IT areas including but not limited to:
* IT architecture, infrastructure, and cloud development
* Engineering and software architecture design
* Business analysis
* DevOps
* Project and product management
* PMI PMP certification would add extra consideration for a candidate.
* Knowledge and practical familiarity with IT departmental processes in the areas of Architecture, Development, Support, and Operations required
* Excellent prioritization and organization skills, especially the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
* Strong ability to hold self and others accountable to delivering results
* Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical audiences
* Experience working in a fast paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
* Strong Microsoft Office and Project skills
