Job Description

Amazon.com is looking for a business leader in our global accounts payable function, with an emphasis on an exceptional employee experience within a robust controls environment. The goal of this position will be to own the expense policy ensuring global consistency, compliance, and user friendliness. This role focuses on expense management processes including solving problems and driving solutions for our employees. This leader will dive deep into expense metrics to identify areas to drive improvements in people, process and technology that impact the employee experience. They will drive key initiatives in the expense reporting function, and will identify organizational, process, or system related changes that will ensure we delight our employees.

The scope for this leader includes the following:

* Prioritize and serve as the business owner for key expense management initiatives, including but not limited to expense policy management, governance, reporting, expense report process oversight, documentation, and application by expense analysts
* Implement projects and features to improve the employee expense report experience globally
* Serve as lead for employee expense geo-expansion projects in collaboration with global project teams
* Benchmark process to exceed best in class companies while delighting our employees
* Leverage metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement, including process and technology based changes

The successful candidate will be independent and flexible with solid communication skills, strong customer focus, and extensive experience in expense reporting. Our diverse environment is fast paced and therefore requires a detail-oriented individual comfortable interacting and working with multiple large teams globally - both business and technical. Experience prioritizing competing demands, and scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines are necessary skills. The candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions that balance employee experience, controllership, and frugality.
