Sr. Product Manager, Data Quality

Location: SF, SEA, CHI, STL

Position Overview:

The Climate Corporation is revolutionizing the agriculture industry with tools that help the world's farmers sustainably increase their productivity with digital tools and data analytics. We have a unique opportunity for a Product Manager to join our team to help enhance our data quality that acts as a strong foundation for our agronomic models, data analytics and products.

What You Will Do:

* Business ownership of improving data quality from a product standpoint.
* Determine quality requirements of key users, and understand data quality issues across a variety of customer segments, capability domains and agriculture input types.
* Work with the data quality team to include data quality standards into our product experience.
* Document mapping usage of reference data fields to specific functions on the FieldView platform.
* Make data-driven recommendations to management on all aspects of the data quality including product experience, master data, reference data etc offering including vendor selection (whenever applicable), quality assurance processes and tools.
* Help with expansion of global coverage for reference and master data across different data types and geographies, by understanding local and use case specific needs.
* Deliver an improved product experience by fostering engagement across engineering, data analytics, and science teams to execute data quality recommendations.
* Partner with different R&D teams across Climate and Bayer to deliver and execute on data quality recommendations.

Basic Qualifications:

* 5+ years of software product management experience.
* B.S. in a technical field.
* Data analysis / data management experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Software development experience including working with agile development teams.
* Experience working with a query language.
* The ideal candidate will be methodical, detail-oriented and someone who can drive consensus across multiple teams with a measured approach.
