Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer/ Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

What You'll Get to Do:

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Actively participate in complex communication design protocol implementations


* Describe and present designs to colleagues and management team


* Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment


* Design and build software that is highly reliable, scalable, and extensible

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science degree in STEM field with 9 years of related experience; 7 years with a Master's Degree


* 5 years of professional experience developing for RTOS / embedded systems


* Experience in object-oriented design, data structures, and design verification


* Experience in Eclipse or similar Development Environment



Preferred Qualifications:

* Demonstrated ability to apply core engineering concepts to solve complex, unfamiliar, and novel problems


* Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and large-scale software integration


* Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance
