Job Description

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Systems Solutions Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The successful candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health IT portfolio in support of the Health Solutions Business Unit, their critical responsibility will be to initiate, plan, lead, and outlining solutions and transformational roadmaps for system modernization efforts, leveraging new technology offerings across the federal, state, commercial, and defense market areas. The successful candidate must possess exceptional strengths in leadership, analysis, technical& program solutions, and communications as the role will require collaborative efforts between the research & development teams, vendor teammates, customer representatives and health captures, proposals, and programs. Development of internal & external presentation and extensive support will be required to provide portfolio input and responses to RFIs, Captures, and RFPs. Support to existing and new programs along with continuous process improvements and best practices.

The candidate should be versed in product design and transition of solutions from research to product implementation in the health customer space. The candidate must have the ability to manage several cross cutting initiatives and work collaboratively across the business unit and division teams to continuously improve our processes, talent, and technical solutions with high returns on investment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Lead teams in the design and implementation for advanced system solutions
* Lead subject matter experts to provide innovative modernization solutions for existing IT systems
* Collaborate & lead development of capture and customer proposal collateral and client support
* Lead efforts to determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software and/or cloud compatibilities
* Coordinate with information security personnel for compliance with security requirements
* Lead teams in addressing and mitigating risk across the portfolio
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring for systems engineers, software engineers, and systems architects
* Work with customer, users, and other contractors to understand requirements and architect solutions
* Facilitate special projects as they proceed through their normal life-cycle, from initiation to closure, using sound project management disciplines, such as Agile methodologies
* Support prioritization of Research and Development features and capabilities, support development of business case for R&D investment
* Brief "c-suite" customer executives on solutions and value propositions
* Leverage innovation to decrease solution costs
* Provide clear qualitative and quantitative information to teams and stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

* BS Degree, STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math, is required with a minimum of 9 years relevant technical experience
* Proven track record in advancement of new and modern technology solutions and program execution
* Proven track record in outlining strategic growth plans
* Ability to leverage key company investments against emerging business development opportunities
* Financial acumen for defending technology investments and strong rates of return
* Experience designing / architecting / transforming enterprise level systems
* Experience writing proposals for federal and/or state customers
* Skilled in one or more of the following: SaaS COTS products, User interface design, BI Reporting, Web services / applications, analytics, big data, database technologies, NIST standards, SQL, DHTML, XML, Portal, and Cyber Security, HL7 messaging standards
* US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder) required in order to obtain and maintain Position of Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree

* Project Management Profession (PMP) Certification
* Experience working with federal and/or state government and IT governance processes
* Experience delivering systems in both Agile and Waterfall environments
* Experience working in a CMMI Level 3 or higher delivery environment
* Healthcare IT industry experience
* Experience with data analytics tools
* Knowledge of architecture and modeling tools
