Job Description

Analyzes, models, designs and simulates communications systems, subsystems, and algorithms for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems such as wide and local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital radio/communications technology and network architecture design.

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

This position works independently with minimal direction in support of the Raptor ground system program. This is a Ground Systems Engineering role supporting the following types of tasks:

* Requirements definition and derivation
* Interface definition
* Ground System/Software design
* Verification & Test Plans & Procedures
* Ground integration & test

The candidate is expected to interface with engineering leadership, program management, functional management, and will potentially interface directly with customers as well.

Requirements

* Requires a BS (i.e. Engineering, Physics, Computer Science) and 9 years of experience or an MS plus 7 years of experience in satellite ground systems (e.g. command & control, flight dynamics, mission planning, trending & analysis)
* Experience with real-time satellite control systems is required
* Experience performing flight operations is desired
* Existing security clearance is desirable, but not required to start
