The Sr. PeopleSoft Analyst (Functional) will operate as part of the Finance Systems Group that provides functional analysis and project management for CHLA#s financials and human resources processes and systems. The scope of the financial systems portfolio includes PeopleSoft Financials and Human Resources and all interfaced systems both to and from. Qualifications: Bachelors degree required. Minimum 5 years PeopleSoft experience required. PeopleSoft implementation and upgrade experience required. Knowledge of at least PeopleSoft 8.8 required. 5 years PeopleSoft financial applications. Implementation of financial ERP with at least version 8.8. Must be able to provide functional assistance and guidance to troubleshoot functional issues. In depth knowledge of table structures and reporting /extracting tools. Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to speak to the users in functional, business terms and to the developers in technical, PeopleSoft terms. In addition, the Analyst must be able to translate user requirements into specifications that can be understood and implemented by the technical team. They must possess expert functional expertise in at least four of the following areas: Human Resources, Payroll, General Ledger, Commitment Control, Grants, Projects, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Inventory, Asset Management, and Financial Reporting. The individual must be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who is willing to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution with little or no supervision. The individual must have a broad understanding of the technical environment of the PeopleSoft/Unix platform and PeopleTools, and a deep knowledge of one of the following: PS Query, SQL, Crystal, and nVision. Broad knowledge of systems terminology, batch files, systems interfaces, and directory and database structures. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications including Excel, Access, and Word. Excellent understanding of Web-based systems and interface applications. Ability to work in a team environment and motivate team members by example. Ability to analyze process and system issues using functional knowledge. This role will assist with problem identification and solution development. Ability to lead small projects and deliver small projects under a deadline.#
