This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus of 20k for a candidate with a current TS/SCI that can be verified and hired at Raytheon.

Job Description:

The Raytheon IIS Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional opening for a Network Engineer. This position will perform systems and network engineering tasks pertaining to system design, development and implementation activities. Tasks include designing, documenting, building, configuring, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting large-scale LAN/Data Center environments. The qualified candidate should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies and equipment, services, and understand security practices associated with network design best practices. An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance is required as of day one for this position (US citizenship required).

Required Skills:

* Active US Government TS/SCI security clearance
* Strong understanding of network technologies and associated services, management, and security practices/techniques
* Experience with data center and LAN design, implementation, diagnostics, performance and management using Cisco, Juniper, and/or Brocade hardware
* Strong skills in design and documentation of data center solutions, task prioritization, and network troubleshooting
* Ability to create and edit design artifacts using Microsoft Visio
* 6 years of related work experience

Desired Skills:

* Understanding of network management and monitoring toolsets
* Knowledge of storage fundamentals
* Experience with VMWare and virtual networks
* Experience with F5 or other load balancing hardware solutions
* Understanding of and experience with deploying firewalls and other network security appliances
* Automation experience using Chef or Puppet

Education Requirements:

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years of related work experience.
