We are looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer who will be responsible for building cross-platform, end-user facing mobile experiences & SDKs for real-time chat, messaging. You'll be working on a cutting edge app written in Swift and XCode. You'll be empowered to design, code, and unit & UI test your feature as part of CI/CD pipeline.

As a senior iOS Engineer you'll be tasked with writing elegant and well structured code and creating thoughtful design with scalability and maintainability. You'll be empowered to provide user design feedback for UX designers and collaborate tightly with designers, QA, and product managers.

This iOS Dev will help us build intelligent consumer experiences used by billions of people to interact with the world's biggest brands. Our experiences are powered by one of the biggest OpenStack cloud services in the world that incorporates artificial intelligence, bots, big data, natural conversational interfaces and multi-modal messaging.

In this role you will:

* Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team (PM, UX, engineering, science) team to transform user stories into prototypes & production code
* Thoughtfully apply UI design principles & best practices for mobile & small screens
* Build & deploy user-facing features for iOS
* Design mobile SDKs for iOS that will power high-scale applications
* Identify & eliminate performance & scale issues that ripple from front-end to back-end
* Be globally minded & inclusive - we are a global team and value the diverse contributions of others.
* Simplify complex architectures with a focus on developer experience

You should be an expert in / core competencies:

* BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
* Strong coding skills & ability to perform in a dynamic, agile & entrepreneurial environment
* 4+ years building complex applications for iOS devices
* Experience with software architecture design patterns such as MVC and MVVM patterns
* Consumer facing, enterprise or big brand app development experience and ideally one or two personal projects or significant open source contributions
* Experience with Git and Jira
* Experience writing unit tests and testable code
* Experience designing APIs, familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
* A basic understanding of server side development is a plus
