Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with best in class, foundational cloud infrastructure services. The Virtual Networking Team builds the highly customizable Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN) and connectivity services offering predictable and consistent performance, isolation, and availability.

We are the team that delivers both software defined network (SDN) and virtual network features for critical cloud infrastructure. We develop and own the packet processing engines that power the high-speed connectivity that virtual cloud networks are built on top of and also provide core network access control and visibility features. Basic Qualifications:

* 3 years of experience with systems/application development
* includes 1 years of experience with network programming
* Proficient at programming in C/C , and well-versed with Python or scripting
* Proficient with data structures, algorithms, and the Linux operating system
* Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fields

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with cloud-services development and owning a production cloud service
* Experience implementing network protocols and network packet processing products.
* Experience with kernel or embedded systems and hardware/software interactions
* Experience developing fault-tolerant highly-available systems
* Experience with software optimization, performance analysis, and performance testing
* Experience leading and implementing technical projects from conception to ship
