Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a joint Government/Contractor team in the development of an integrated Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment. This position will require interface and collaboration with Senior DoD personnel, MBE/MBSE subject matter experts from multiple DoD primes, and other systems engineers to interpret requirements and develop the models necessary to capture, track and provide life cycle management of the system requirements and establish a descriptive systems model. The selected candidate will support the Systems Engineering Group and Systems Integration and Test Working Group in the areas of Data/Information Management, Risk/Opportunity Management, System Requirements Decomposition, System Level Test and Verification, System Level Interface Management, and the delivery of a Descriptive Systems Model.

Candidates should possess:

* Understanding of DoD Systems Engineering processes and requirements.


* Experience with Requirements analysis and decomposition.


* Experience with and understanding of system modeling and analysis


* Familiarity with MBE and MBSE tools and procedures


* Experience with SYSML, Magic Draw, and Phoenix Integration or similar Modeling languages, software, and toolsets (desired)


* Ability to provide technical and programmatic direction on the development, integration and use of MBE and MBSE models.


* Ability to support the development of MBE and MBSE systems engineers


* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions


* Knowledge and experience with the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile program and mission (desired).


* An understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.


* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment


* Ability to work as a team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication, including a willingness to occasionally work in a pair-programming environment

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB


* Participate in all phases of the product specification, analysis, design, verification and validation utilizing MBE/MBSE tools and capabilities.


* Help develop and ensure system requirements validation and verification methods are captured in the Descriptive System Model.


* Support leadership in the development of an integrated process for use-case development, as well as development of all supporting documentation.


* Support development and review of Program Plans: Data/Information Management Plan, Program Plan, Systems engineering Plan, Configuration Management Plan, System Test and Verification Plan, Risk and Opportunities Plan.


* Support the development of software architecture documents.



Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
* 5+ years Systems Engineering
* Experience supporting DoD (Desired)
