Alexa is the groundbreaking, cloud-based intelligent agent that powers Echo and other devices designed around your voice. Our teams are creating best-in-market speech recognition science and technology for Alexa and Lex.

We are looking for a strongly technical, customer-focused Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management who has the visionary thinking to drive engineering, science, and processes required for making and keeping us the world leading speech team.

Speech recognition is at the core of Alexa and every single team in Alexa depend on us. This requires the development of robust processes and development of technical solutions for driving the coordination across the whole Alexa org. Speech recognition has to be accurate. You develop the strategies for understanding where accuracy gaps exist today and how we are addressing them short- and long-term. You are coordinating speech recognition consumers and speech recognition engineering and science teams. You drive the long-term 3yr plans, you establish the mechanisms for a successful execution, and you drive the iterative delivery of improvements while leading the long-term vision.

You come with a start-up mentality and skills that span research science, software engineering, program management and strategic vision. Ideally with domain knowledge and practical experience in speech recognition. You also drive communication and lead meetings with customers and executives bringing in strong communication skills.
