Senior Magento Developer

LiveArea is looking for an experienced Sr. Magento Developer to develop solutions for our client's product needs. This individual must have the ability to understand eCommerce needs and be able to translate that into real world solutions. The ideal candidate for this position would have a great sense of what makes an outstanding product and potentially be able to lead a team in executing this.

Responsibilities include:

* Experience with, and comfort working under a version-controlled environment
* Thorough understanding of Mobile First, Responsive Web Design, and UX concepts -- with the ability to put them into practice
* Experience designing and implementing thorough development and testing workflows
* Able to quickly learn new processes, software, and technology and apply it to your daily routine
* Have experience optimizing web server configurations and scaling web applications
* Looking for a chance to create engaging and interactive e-commerce applications
* You love building both back-end and front-end code for new or existing web applications

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field required; Master's degree preferred
* 3 or more years Magento experience
* 7+ years' development experience required; with 3+ years in professional services/consulting experience preferred
* Magento Certified with multiple years of direct Magento Development experience
* Proficiency with PHP frameworks such as Zend framework
* Very comfortable in HTML/CSS, JavaScript & JQuery, XML, MySQL, PHP
* Proficiency with PHP5 and MySQL from an OOP perspective, database schema design, LAMP Server administration
* Proven experience with the Magento and 3rd Party APIs. You love working with web-based services and APIs to bridge communication and extend features from other applications or services. Unit testing/API testing experience, creating test plans.
* Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP)
* You want to participate in project planning, design review, and architectural meetings
* Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization and relationships
* Store catalog (categories/products/attributes)
* Sales orders (quotes/orders/invoices/shipments/credits)
* Experience optimizing and refactoring application code, 3rd-party integrations, CRM, ERP, Fraud, Payments, or Shipping software a plus
