Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Contribute to building an enterprise scale, Java-based Commerce engine to drive the cloud-based commerce service application.

Your responsibilities will include:

Translating functional requirements into software designs and implementations

Implementing new Java-based RESTful services as part of the Commerce Service offering

Developing integrations with external vendors such as payment processing and tax calculation

Working with Operations and Devops to monitor and analyze Commerce Service

Bringing new ideas and experiences with modern software engineering tooling and methodologies to help us continually improve

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, preferably with experience in the Java programming languages.

Candidate should have a solid understanding of core computer science concepts, such as object-oriented programming, data structure design and algorithms.

5-7 years of development experience in Java and designing data-intensive applications

3-5 years of experience with JEE technologies and application servers.

3-5 years of experience with SQL and modeling data in relational databases.

Excellent software architecture, implementation, and problem solving skills.

Optional

Experience with Groovy and Gradle.

Experience with ATG or implemented larger eCommerce sites.

Experience with concurrent programming techniques.

Experience working with Linux and shell or other scripting languages.
