Frontier Communications is seeking an IT Project Management Specialist to join our Project Management Office. The candidate will be working on the PMO Governance team to provide project delivery support to all levels of the IT organization and impacted Business Owners. Responsibilities include defining, documenting and updating project management processes, developing and maintaining compliance and metric reporting, as well as managing portfolios, programs or projects as necessary. This role will also provide occasional training on new, updated or enhanced procedures and act as a functional SME for the PMO tools. Currently the team is transitioning to the Agile framework and this position will be a member of the transformation team, acting as an Agile coach when necessary. This candidate will also be responsible for working with senior leadership to identify, propose and implement solutions and reporting required to support the team's success.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, metrics development and reporting and delivering effective presentations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will report to the IT PMO Director and will be responsible for acting as project management and process SME. Additional duties will include providing coaching, training, developing effective metrics and compliance reporting.

* Implementing and supporting project management processes, compliance and reporting
* Developing effective metrics reports
* Evaluating issues or process gaps in project delivery and proposing changes to resolve
* Conducting training for functional end-users on new and updated processes, PPM tools and additional training as identified
* Providing project management expertise and coaching others in both traditional waterfall methodology and Agile Framework
* Creation of effective training materials
* Keeping documentation current as processes are enhanced or change

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field preferred.

Proficient in both waterfall and Agile Project Management

2+ Years of experience working in an Agile environment

5+ Years of Project Management experience

Strong leadership skills with the ability to work as part of a team and cross-functionally

Advanced Excel expertise including charting, pivot tables, VBA and Macros

Basic SQL experience

Aptitude to quickly become an expert on Frontier applications and systems

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Training and courseware development

Creating effective presentation materials for all levels of the organization - including Executives

Ability to delivery Executive Level work-product such as reports, plans, etc.

Competency in project estimation techniques

Release Management experience

Proficient in Atlassian Jira and Confluence

Proficient in MS Office Products including PowerPoint and Visio

Testing Tools such as Hewlett Packard Application Lifecycle Mgmt (HP ALM), AccelQ, etc.

Jira Administration experience

Development experience

Agile Coach Certification or experience

Agile transformation experience

Certified Scrum Master

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification or experience
