This is a senior role that will work closely with C-level execs and other senior level managers gathering information, providing feedback and making recommendations to create technology solutions. Act as a program management leader to head up technical projects for the company.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage technical projects and programs while working closely with business partners, non-technical and technical staff. * Gather requirements and define scope of projects as well as resource allocation requirements. * Manage vendor relationships both technical and non-technical. * Create a communication strategy that reaches all levels of the organization with the information they need to see. * Communicate project status/progress with project teams, management and interact with C-level staff. * Develop plans and schedules for projects with well-defined milestone that fit within the corporate vision and information strategy. * Perform cost benefit analysis with the information gathered from senior business leaders and management. * Ability to travel to key corporate sites to meet with other internal or external management teams. * Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels. * Understand, comprehend and explain a data-driven approach to solve complex challenges. * Lead the requirement gathering process with our business users, including help defining valuable cost benefit analysis and put together a schedule and plan with the help of our vendors and internal technical staff to deliver the solution.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
* BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields and/or relevant work experience. * 8-10 years of program management or related experience in B2B software with a proven track record developing and driving initiatives, managing development, and interacting with customers preferably within the insurance/financial services industries. * Experience managing large scale projects using well defined, industry standards and project design life cycle, six sigma and/or operational excellence methodologies. * Understand the advantages of leveraging business intelligence, data warehousing and application development to streamline the company's processes and operations. * Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with team members in marketing, sales, development, and customer support. * Understanding of general business issues including external factors that impact the business, industry, and product strategy. * Experience identifying and documenting customer requirements, preferably in the insurance agency market.
