Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing technical leadership in the formulation and execution of cloud architecture; participating in key architecture and Cloud-based infrastructure decisions across the organization; developing processes, procedures, policies, and standards for Cloud and Automation services; designing and building Infrastructure Management tools for assigned tools.

Required Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of Information Technology OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 6 years Information technology experience OR 8 years Information Technology experience
* Experience with Azure Cloud
* Working experience with Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure IaaS and PaaS, Azure DR/HA
* Hands-on experience with MS-SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 LUW, Open-source databases, and/or cloud-specific databases (minimum 2)
* Have deployed high availability database solutions
* Experience with disaster recovery between cloud and on-prim
* Experience with Cloud API and automation
* Must have 2-3 years in cloud deployment methodologies
* Familiar with Cloud PaaS, IaaS, and/or SaaS offerings
* Experience with As a Service and Database as a Service technologies
* Experience with Cloud Orchestration and Management technologies
* Experience with Monitoring and Event Management technologies
* Experience with Cloud Automation technologies
* Operations Management experience
* Experience with ITIL v3
* Experience with IT standards, procedures, policies
* Experience with PMO structures, processes, and methods
* Experience with Demand / Portfolio and Resource Management
* Understanding of business priorities (e.g., vision), trends (e.g., industry knowledge) and markets (e.g., existing/ planned)

Preferred Job Qualifications:

* Minimum 2-3 years of experience with running databases on Azure and on-prem as a database engineer
* Experience with RDBMS, EDW, Open Source RDBMS, Cloud EDW
* Able to help with vendor management and license optimization
* Understanding of database security technologies and standards
* Understanding of server, network, storage, RedHat
* Ability to prioritize and make trade-off decisions
* Ability to drive cross-functional execution
* Adaptability and ability to introduce/manage change
