Job Description Summary:
J.B. Hunt is building an entirely new platform to enable their internal and external potential. The position is responsible for overall design and architectural direction for enterprise Agile projects. The position consults with and influences technical and business leaders in the pursuit of aligning technology and business needs. This position engages with research and development activities to define new process and technology standards for improving the departments productivity and operations. The position contributes to implementing new technology and processes to the organization.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: Contribute to bringing new technology to the organization. Contribute to multiple Agile projects across multiple systems domains through leadership and ideation. Contributes to the enterprise application technology roadmap. Contributes to defining, documenting, and maintaining, architecture standards through standards committees. Provides technical leadership across application teams (e.g. conducts training, develops learning sessions, contributes to the Architecture Review Board). Designs web designs that are asynchronous, responsive, and provide a rich user experience. Works within a collaborative environment and contributes to team goals by offering open and honest communication and helping to meet deadlines. Act as a technical consultant to the team's management by leveraging technical and domain knowledge to answer questions. Provides technical leadership to the team and others through coaching and mentorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer and Information Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or related, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 10 year of experience in Software Development or Engineering. Preferred experience with the latest version of Java (J2EE)
Preferred experience with the latest version of Angular
Experience with object-oriented languages (such as Java, C#, or Python)
Experience with modern front-end web frameworks (such as HTML and Java Script)
Experience with database management systems
Experience with designing mobile applications
