Job Description

SENIOR QA ENGINEER sought by Green Dot Corporation in Pasadena, CA.

Duties: Responsible for working with developers and QA team members to ensure adequate automated coverage in order to reduce the scope of manual Regression testing. Recommend software developments, and test and automate native mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms. Maintain existing automated suites and manual suites to keep up with the regular product updates. Ensure proper operation of scheduled and manually run automated test suites and take appropriate action upon failure. Create common routines and libraries for automation to be shared between teams to make teams more efficient and reduce redundancy. Prepare detailed defect reports and collaborate with development to assist with their troubleshooting, resolution and validation. Support release process and run automated Regression tests against all supported mobile devices. Create reusable tools using any programming language to improve the time and productivity as needed. Create data driven, generic and reusable ReadyApi/SoapUI script libraries for testing the API services. Review code paths to find out the problematic areas and find out the issues with any application level configurations. Write complex SQL queries, and look thru the stored procedures. Create complex groovy scripts to handle file systems and running the SSIS / windows services.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus seven (7) years of experience as a Sr. QA Engineer, Test Engineer, Test Lead, or related occupation. Must have experience in software development, QA methodologies and release process; development experience in C#/Java/JavaScript; writing complex queries and good experience in writing and reviewing the Stored procedures; developing the generic tools and applications to increase the productivity; performing white box testing; working with banking / financial application; testing the API's exposed to customers; using the API testing tools ReadyAPI/SoapUI; developing the framework scripts and libraries; Sprint Management; running automatized tests; and QA testing methodologies and test types, including Test Plans, Suites and Cases, Functional, Negative, Integration, Security, Performance, and Regression.

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field, plus five (5) years of experience as a Sr. QA Engineer, Test Engineer, Test Lead, or related occupation. Must have experience in software development, QA methodologies and release process; development experience in C#/Java/JavaScript; writing complex queries and good experience in writing and reviewing the Stored procedures; developing the generic tools and applications to increase the productivity; performing white box testing; working with banking / financial application; testing the API's exposed to customers; using the API testing tools ReadyAPI/SoapUI; developing the framework scripts and libraries; Sprint Management; running automatized tests; and QA testing methodologies and test types, including Test Plans, Suites and Cases, Functional, Negative, Integration, Security, Performance, and Regression.
