Job Description

The Sr. Engineer, IS Asset Management will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets for Stryker's Information Services (IS) Infrastructure group. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and participation in audit compliance events. The Sr. Engineer will assist in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization. Additionally, the Sr. Engineer will develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.

Responsibilities & Duties:

* Develop and enhance methodologies and practices for IS asset life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience as part of a cycle of continuous improvement.
* Working with best in class partners, implement a comprehensive IS Asset Management program across Stryker globally.
* Ensure that IS acquisition and disposal processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies.
* With assistance from Infrastructure & Security Budget Owners and Stryker Finance Team, prepare and manage IS asset capital, maintenance and expense budgets, and review and provide asset-related detail in business cases and project budgets.
* Implement and manage production of IS asset life cycle management status reporting, metrics and benchmarks.
* Coordinating all IS asset management activity across the organization to enable collaboration that reduces the life cycle costs and risks of all the IS assets deployed.
* Ensuring that all IS asset life cycle-related costs and risks are correctly identified through metrics and published status reports, while enforcing mitigation and remediation activity.
* Assessing the age and condition of all IS assets with a view to optimizing their refresh or replacement to minimize risk and cost, while maximizing business value.
* Evaluating, selecting and implementing IS asset management tools and ensuring appropriate integration of data from non-IS asset management-owned sources.
* Hold all IS service delivery teams accountable for optimizing the cost, risk and value of IS assets throughout their life cycle.
* Ensure audit compliance for all IT assets.
* Guide IT asset associate in the daily administration of the asset management activities.

Education & Special Trainings:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration or equivalent experience required.
* ITIL Foundations experience required.
* ServiceNow ITAM experience preferred.
* One or more security certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) a plus.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Minimum of 7 years of professional experience required.
* Information Technology/Information Services is preferred.
* 5 years of demonstrated experience in liaising with middle and senior management.
* Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., Life Sciences, Medical Device, Finance) a plus.
* Experience with leading the successful implementation of complex programs.
* Experience working with third-party providers.
* Experience driving change within an organization.
