Our Engineering team, headquartered in Kirkland, WA, is responsible for delivering solutions that leverage emerging technologies to solve customer and business problems. This includes building software products using agile methodologies from a prototype in the concept development stage all the way through the lifecycle to full-scale production and integration back into the core enterprise. The Sr. Director of Engineering, as the leader of the engineering team, plays an instrumental role in leading the development team with a strong knowledge of product architecture and agile development practices while ensuring technology alignment with core enterprise systems. Software projects span desktop, mobile, and app platforms. The Sr. Director of Engineering will lead a team of Sr. Engineering Managers and individual contributors to build innovative software products. They will collaborate with peers to define and synthesize user requirements and develop product feature roadmaps. Strong technical skills, customer focus, business acumen, experience in emerging technologies, and the ability to think big are a must. If you are ready for the challenge, come and help us design the future.Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or engineering field• 15 years relevant technology experience• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience• 5+ years managing software teams and software managersPreferred Qualifications: • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive• Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment and deliver results• Strong oral and written communication skills• 3+ years of development experience with 3D game engines• 5+ years with Cloud platform services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform• Experience with software tools related to code, agile story, test, and defect tracking like Git, Atlassian, and VSTS• Experience managing and developing iOS, Android, and Web user experiences interacting with a cloud platformThis position requires domestic travel quarterly and international travel 1-2 times per year.
