The mission of the Bose Developer Relations group is to enable a growing community of innovators, developers and content creators to deliver amazing experiences to our customers. We do this by engaging our community around the world, at key events, in key regions, and online through our portal, workshops and other channels. Representing the needs of our community and partners back to platform teams at Bose, we will make 3rd party integration easier and scalable. Working with outstanding members of our community and with supporting groups at Bose, we will find the best ways to embrace these innovations, showcasing them to our customers and inspiring continued integration and increased value of our platforms. Essential Job Responsibilities: As a Sr. Developer Advocate, you will extend our reach into the community based on a strategy you will help develop. Working with members of your team and our group, you will represent the needs of our community and partners, driving new features and improvements to the platform capabilities and tools we offer to support innovation. In doing so, you will add to the Bose brand story through industry leadership and building on your own presence in the community as an inspirational voice for new, exciting user experiences with sound. This role will focus on Bose AR and our native Android SDK, new technologies at Bose that will allow developers and content creators to tap into new, motion-sensor and spatial-sound enabled products, representing amazing opportunities in gaming, fitness, travel, and more. Success of this role will be measured by your efforts building our community, growing the number of those active in developing quality applications, and ultimately in the number of new experiences becoming available to our customers. Requirements: Expert in working with Android, with a history of developing, launching, maintaining and supporting mobile apps for Android devices Demonstrated passion for engaging & enabling those who create and develop experiences and embracing what they build. Genuine interest in emerging experience technologies including augmented or virtual reality, game development or design, and/or mobile app development A compelling history of inspirational speaking and thought leadership, having presented to developers at meetups and industry conferences Shareable examples of code instructional ability, having published code samples and led online/virtual webinars & related sessions Excellent verbal and written communications Strong interpersonal and relationship skills Can-do attitude, with ability to react quickly to changing needs Ability to build consensus with stakeholders, and confidence to drive accountability with superiors Pro-active, problem-solving capability Education & Experience: 3+ years Developer Relations experience 3-6 years as Java developer or software engineer, able to present code samples produced with the goal to enable/educate/inspire other developers.
