THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE

Aquila is seeking two senior level Desktop Support Specialist possessing a Top-Secret Security Clearance to contribute to one of this country's premier defense research organizations. The Cyber Systems and Operations Group works closely with the nation's cyber forces, intelligence community, and federal agencies to identify operational gaps in cybersecurity capabilities and analyze their current and planned systems and missions. This new position is a permanent position with full benefits and has been added to address IT capacity issues. One position will be based in Lexington, MA and the other at Fort Meade, Annapolis, MD.

The position is responsible for installing new desktop and server infrastructure, applying DoD security controls to operating systems and applications, as well as patching and maintaining the IT infrastructure and maintaining documentation on wiki. Desktop support will also be provided for research staff.

Requirements:

* Top Secret Security Clearance
* Technical experience with Linux , VMware vSphere, Docker, Microsoft Server, storage hardware (iSCSI, NFS, Samba), networking, scripting/automation (ansible, puppet, bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI)
* MS OR BS degree
* 8 years of applicable experience.
* Required Certifications: Classified programs require DoD 8570 certification (Security+ CE, CISSP, or similar)

Preferred Experience:

* Databases (PostgreSQL, mySQL, MongoDB), web servers (Apache, nginx)
* Certifications: RedHat RHCE or RHCSA, VMware VCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Travel: Approximately 2-3 times per month for 1-2 days.
