Responsibilities

Job Description

Provide cyber security implementation to support and lead DFAR compliance with independent discretion, redirecting and amending cyber control processes as needed for efficiency and improved compliance.

Independently determine essential security plan and audit log updates required and provide documentation to System Security Plans and logs for labs and manufacturing environments; confirm systems checks are operating properly in accordance with regulatory requirements, revise as needed.

Provide updates to automation and scripts and follow standard configuration management and release processes, using independent discretion and systems checks to improve processes, training others when needed.

Exercise independent initiative to create and provide prototyping for EOL or other designated segregated networks with applied cyber security controls, key to all business cyber compliance mandates.

This position is located in McKinney, Texas.

Must have at least 4 years of experience as follows:

* Microsoft Windows Desktops (e.g. Windows XP, 7 & 10), Windows Servers (e.g. Windows Server 2008 and 2012) and /or Linux/Unix operating system administration
* Establishing and implementing group policies and setting system security controls
* Operating system concepts and implementations
* Providing Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services support
* Symantec Backup Exec/Netbackup or understanding of server backup concepts
* Use of network services and protocol suites throughout the OSI model (e.g. DHCP, DNS, SSH, etc.)
* Use of written and verbal communication skills in preparing and presenting reports and data, and general interactions inside IT and with the user community.
* Customer interaction with users of all levels
* Computer hardware component placement (i.e. Hard Drives, RAM and PCI Cards)
* Documentation of detail procedures or changes made to a system

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

* Performing Windows User Profile Migration
* Performing full disk imaging and Windows Backup Technologies using Symantec Ghost full disk imaging and Windows Desktop Backup Technologies
* Using Veritas Backup Exec/NetBackup
* Use of Network Concepts (VLAN, Firewalls, Subnet)
* Use of network services and protocol suites throughout the OSI model (e.g. DHCP, DNS, SSH, etc.)
* Experience with VMware ESXi including VLAN and Enterprise Plus features

Active US DoD Secret clearance is preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 12 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
