Our team's mandate is to launch and accelerate adoption of advertising measurement products and services that enhance advertiser experience on Amazon. We are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance measurement products that enable Advertisers to understand the impact of their Advertising on consumers. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses driving long term growth. We're looking for entrepreneurial and innovative individuals who thrive on solving tough problems. As the Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer you will be responsible for conceptualizing and building data models that unlock key business insights for our advertisers, contribute towards modeling new attribution algorithms, and inform product strategy and design.

This role is an individual contributor role and will require both creativity and a data-driven structured approach - we need someone who can review our current infrastructure, isolate improvement opportunities, help us think big about what to consider in terms of scalability, advertiser experience with data insights, productivity, and long term automation.

The person in this role will be required to think big, have a strong bias for action, and bring a history of delivering results to Amazon's advertising solutions. You will scope and execute analyses to formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership on business growth opportunities. You will also be responsible for producing insights that will help shape effective strategies to better meet our customers' needs. You will work closely with internal teams, and partners across the advertising business and other partner teams in these areas to provide decision support in this rapidly evolving space.

This role requires an individual with excellent statistical and analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions, and have the ability to work with technology, product development, and business teams. The successful candidate will have passion for data and analytics, be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, and driven by a desire to innovate Amazon's approach to this space.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop new and innovative analyses to inform product strategy and design. This analysis will determine approach and roadmap for key strategic initiatives.
* Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
* Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.
* Utilize database technologies, including SQL, ETL, Oracle, and Redshift to design, develop, and evaluate analyses and highly innovative business intelligence tools and reporting.
* Analyze relevant business information, and uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve our product and strategy decisions.
* Use machine learning, data mining, and statistical techniques to create new, scalable solutions for business problems.
* Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
