Job Description

Position Summary

Great position open in our Mobile Software R&D Center in San Diego. We're looking for an Android Software Development Engineer with experience building smart phone applications for a variety of medical device and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Responsibilities

* Design and build out the next generation Android smart-phone cloud based platform that can support future patient/device centric products and applications.
* Lead and mentor junior engineers and interns.
* Scope work, break down into modules, and estimate efforts working closely with management.

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equiv experience
* Android (Native Andorid) software development experience.
* Experience with Java, Android UI and service development.
* Experience in designing scalable & secure software platforms for digital healthcare industry.
* Knowledge of API management concepts & fundamentals.
* Experience with Agile software development preferred.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

* Demonstrated proficiency in developing solutions and platforms that leverage wireless communications and Smart phone technologies.
* Ability to quickly grasp and learn new technologies and develop POC/prototypes.
* Experience with Bluetooth and wireless communication is preferred.
* Demonstrated work experience with Web services, Cloud and API technologies.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Extensive experience working with technical teams and management.
* Ability to drive and own technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications.
* Demonstrated experience in successfully launching products in FCC & FDA regulated industries preferred.
