Sr. Analyst, Business Analysis - Trade Directory

Overview

As the Senior Business Analyst on the Mastercard Track - Trade Directory team, you'll bring your strong business and systems analytical expertise in the development of SaaS solutions. We're building a global B2B SaaS platform to help businesses of all sizes streamline how they manage payments when buying or selling products & services. As a global business, the software capabilities you design for Mastercard will operate at massive scale requiring focus on performance, security, and reliability.

You will work in our Mastercard technology location in Arlington, VA that provides a state-of-the-art environment for technology teams to thrive in a collaborative Agile engineering culture. You will be a key part of how Mastercard transforms the B2B space using Azure cloud-native technologies.

Role

* Analyze & map product feature requests by the product owner to changes in the system.
* Assist the product owner with the writing user stories and organizing feature boards.
* Conduct grooming meetings with the product owner and members of the team.
* Align backlog priorities with the pacing of user story preparation and finalization.
* Minimize work-in-progress (WIP) in the feature & user story grooming process.
* Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and product owners.
* Collaborate with other analysts to create a thriving Agile-based practice of analysis.

Analyze and research cutting edge technology solutions to determine potential use cases against product needs.

* Align product requirements to use cases and determine product requirements/non-functional requirements.
* Consult back to product stakeholders on the best use of technology assets to meet business objectives.
* Produce technology proposal/business requirement to solve business problems.
* Leverage partnership with other Mastercard teams such as enterprise architecture and data warehouse to build comprehensive technology solutions to drive business strategy.
* Liaison between senior product stakeholders and development staff to make sure that the requirements are well understood.
* Deliver high quality business specifications to development teams for the purpose of completing estimation, design, coding, testing and implementation phases of the project life cycle.
* Oversee testing efforts of the system to ensure that systems meets product needs.
* Create test plans and test cases for functional and integration test cases.
* Active involvement in testing application.

* Manage defect by logging bugs and tracking their lifecycle.
* Track the requirements and link them to test cases
* Lead meeting with business line testers (User acceptance testing)

All About You

* You have a strong foundation in a technical discipline and managing complex initiatives.
* You have experience designing for web technologies including HTML5, CSS, and front-end frameworks such as Angular.
* You enjoy working in an Agile team focused on continuous improvement.
* You are familiar with Kanban practices, workflow and know how to manage WIP.
* You have a strong desire to deepen your expertise and collaborate within a team.
* You are obsessed with details and getting it right for your team and product owner.
* You have excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
* You are a self-starter who works quickly and efficiently to support product objectives.
* You have worked in fintech, ISVs, or financial services-related firms.
