This position involves overseeing the Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure. The position is also responsible for various financial application upgrades and interfacing with the application vendors in regards to database functionality.

Position Purpose and Objectives

This position involves overseeing the Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure. The position is also responsible for various financial application upgrades and interfacing with the application vendors in regards to database functionality.

Major Duties and Essential Functions

* Participate in projects that will depend on SQL Server as the database platform. This includes attending project meetings and communicating with stake holders to insure deliverables are being met.

* Performance monitoring and tuning SQL Server while working with application vendors to resolve performance issues.
* Responsible for SQL Server backup and disaster recovery.
* Maintain SQL Server inventory/asset list and licensing
* Patching SQL environments and migrating legacy SQL installations to new installations.
* T-SQL development including new functionality and debugging existing functionality.
* SSIS development and deployment
* SSRS development and deployment
* SSAS development and deployment
* Maintain SQL Server inventory/asset list and licensing
* Use problem management software to log in problems and track until solved
* Interact with clients at all levels of the organizations for preventative support issues.

* Ability to work occasional after hours and weekends
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certifications.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) in DBA role. IT experience and knowledge working in a financial institution is highly desired.
