Job Description

Covestic is searching for an SQL Dev/Ops person to serve our growing business at a Fortune 500 enterprise client's security reporting and analytics team. This role manages the execution of data extract, report data generation, and deployment. Ideal candidates will take ownership and handle failure and degradation conditions of the solution, including diagnosing and resolving issues. This role will create improvements in automation and assist in improving health monitoring of this pipeline.

Key qualifications:

* 5+ years professional experience as a SQL Developer - writing complex T-SQL queries (selects, inserts and updates); familiar with stored procedures
* 2+ years professional experience as a DBA - familiar with schema constraints and optimization; ETL workloads
* 2+ years professional experience in writing PowerShell Scripts
* Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills
* Experience in a fast paced, high stress, support environment
* Ability to think systematically, work with a sense of urgency and pay attention to detail
* Ability to present complex solutions and methods to general community
* Independent thinking, willingness to "step outside the box" and take reasonable, calculated risks
* Demonstrated ability to be reliable and flexible with an outstanding work ethic
* Excellent written and verbal English communication and organizational skills
* Strong team player that collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
* Ability to rapidly find, assimilate and synthesize information correctly while under pressure

Desired qualifications:

* Understanding of reporting data pipelines
* Experience with object oriented programming, preferably C#
* Experience with GIT version control, including branches/merges
* Knowledge of Cosmos/Scope query language
* Knowledge of Geneva Monitoring/Cloud Services Telemetry
* Knowledge of Kusto/Azure Data Explorer
* Knowledge of Azure Cloud
* Knowledge of Qualys
