Job Description

We are looking for SQL DBA for an immediate need.This is a client facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.

Install, manage & troubleshoot multi node multisite SQL Server clusters and Standalone SQL server version 2012/2014/2016

Core DBA activities, solution designing, trouble-shooting, provisioning SQL Servers and backup issues.

Experience of Databases migration and post migration support

HA and disaster recovery solutions on SQL2012/2014 using cluster setups and availability groups creation

Liaising with application teams on incidents related to SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 database

Designing automation solutions for operational excellence and cost savings to customer.

Implementing and Maintaining Log Shipping | Database| Clustering | Mirroring | Always On HADR

SQL Server Virtualization & Consolidation

SQL Server Setup, Installation, Version Upgrade & Architect Setup

SQL Server Hardening & Best Practice Implementation

Capacity Planning, Load Balancing & Scaling out SQL Server

Design and Implement Database Backup Restore & Disaster Recovery Strategy

Plan, Design and Scheduled Database Maintenance & Administrative Tasks

Auditing SQL Server Security

Enabling and implementing TDE on Azure Databases

Schedule SQL Jobs | SQL Server across multiple Servers

Installing and Configuring Integration Services

Deployed and Scheduled DTS | SSIS Packages

Installing and Configuring Reporting Services on Clustered Environment for High Availability

Created basic Reports to meet Ad hoc business requirement

Publishing / Deploying Report on multiple Report Servers

Managing Shared Data sources and permissions

Assigning report level permissions to Secure business information

Upgraded / Migrated SQL Server reporting services

Create Database(s) on SQL AZURE

Setting up SQL Azure Firewall

Create, manage SQL Server AZURE Databases

Installing & Configuring SQL Server Analysis Services on clustered environment

Memory Management for SQL Server Analysis Services

Cube Deployment using BIDS, deployment wizard, XLMA Script

OLAP / CUBE database (s) synchronization

Should have knowledge of Backup Tools (Commvault, MariaDB Xtra Backup, NetBackup, RMAN)

Knowledge of Monitoring, Mgmt. & Scheduling Tools (OEM, MONyog, Splunk, SSMS, Zenoss, Nagios,, SiteScope, Spotlight, BMC Patrol & Foglight, UC4, DB Scheduler, Tidal, MS SCOM, vCOPS, vCM, Cloud watch)

Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Openstack)

Knowledge of Automation Tools (, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

Experience working with Ticketing Tools (Service Now, BMC Remedy, Jira, CA ITSM)
