You would be one of the founding members of a dynamic team bringing the latest in disruptive, cutting-edge cloud computing technologies to bear on the difficult IT cost and agility problems facing national, regional, and local governments, as well as educational institutions and NGOs. Your business development and sales team, part of the larger Worldwide Public Sector business development and sales team based near Washington, DC, USA, will accelerate the adoption of AWS as the leading cloud technology platform in the public sector worldwide.
As a Public Sector Security Specialist Solution Architect within Amazon Web Services, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad usage of AWS's utility computing services within public sector organizations, as well as the larger public sector partner ecosystem, the growth and training of which will be one of your main objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Work with AWS customers to convey cloud computing security, compliance, and risk management best practices * Work with other teams within AWS to drive workload adoption * Develop technical content, such as white papers and reference architectures, that can be used by our customers to assist them in deploying secure and compliant cloud-based solutions * Provide mentorship across AWS sales and solutions architecture teams regarding security and compliance to build skills in the field * Represent AWS at trade events by delivering presentations and workshops * Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
