Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Solutions Architect who is passionate about helping customers build infrastructures and applications at scale. Our solutions architects are experienced technologists with technical breadth and depth coupled with strong interpersonal skills. As a solutions architect, you will work directly with some of our largest customers to enable innovation through continuous deployment across technology stacks and demonstrate best practices around advanced cloud solutions.

As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's rich portfolio of services (e.g., Amazon EC2, S3 and RDS etc.) directly with our key customers. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on areas as they relate to customer applications and services (e.g., AI/Machine Learning, Containers, Security, Big Data etc.). You'll engage and influence engineering teams requiring AWS expertise and in so doing you will be making a significant impact on AWS's many services. You'll be part of an extended team of Solution Architects working with our diverse set of customers in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Gaming, DevOps, Security, Health Science etc. Come join us and let's do great things for industry-leading customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

* As a key member of the solution architecture team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform
* Partner with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
* Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
* Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
* Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community
* Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers
* Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
* Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support
