Job Purpose

The Web development team for ICE Data Services is responsible for transforming and revolutionizing the UI of ICE Data Services product line, including various client facing web applications and tools. Our developers work closely with other engineers, project and product management teams, and user experience (UX) designers to deliver web and mobile experiences for our clients.

As a Solutions Architect for web technology, you will drive the technical direction of our product and financial data service platform, and help set best engineering practices. You will work closely with other technical leads, software engineers and quality engineers in a highly collaborative environment. This includes turning ideas and requirements into technical specs, development and testing of new features, bug fixes, building and delivering exciting internal and external facing tools and products.

Responsibilities

* Build best of breed financial applications on the web that are highly scalable and secure
* Lead the full software development life-cycle (SDLC). Include but not limited to drive requirement gathering, lead architecting and design, and ensure successful delivery and support
* Research and architect next generation web application based on products needs with latest technology
* Establish web development best practices, standards and guidelines
* Live and thrive in Agile / Scrum environment, embrace short iterations and fast paced delivery
* Take ownership and collaborate with cross functional teams to build features that will benefit our customers

Knowledge and Experience

* 10+ years of web development experience
* Strong experience writing scalable JS modules, preferably using ES6
* Strong hands on experience with latest JS frameworks like React or Angular 2
* Strong experience with Java and Spring framework
* Strong experience with Redux, mobx, and / or similar framework.
* Expert knowledge with CSS and CSS preprocessors (e.g. Sass, Less)
* Expert knowledge building and consuming REST web services
* Experience with Node, Express and Routing
* Experience with Scrum and Agile development methodology and tools
* Experience building Enterprise Applications on Web and mobile devices
* BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience

Preferred

* Prior experience as a lead or managing a development team
* Prior experience in Financial Service / Fintech industry
* Self-motivated, curious, and passionate about building products and teams
* Positive approach to finding solutions
* Exceptional ability to communicate ideas across teams and leadership
